AI Policy

I jumped on the AI bandwagon fairly early and was a huge proponent of generative AI. Now that it has been around for a while, I have more nuanced opinions.

This site's AI policy is as follows:

I may use AI for research, ideation, feedback, and other similar things. Things like this I think are okay because I still have the final say and can double check facts and such. AI isn't going away so I might as well somewhat embrace it.

In the past I have occasionally made fully AI generated content to explore it's capabilities and for enjoyment. I still want to do similar posts occasionally just because the output can be absolutely hilarious. However, AI generated posts will be clearly marked at the beginning. AI generated images and other types of content will also be clearly labeled.

I understand some people's ludditeness in relation to AI, but I think if AI is used in moderation and with a good dose of common sense it can be very helpful. AI is wonderful at doing repetitive tasks can free up out time to do other, more meaningful things. If you have any comments or questions about this policy, please contact me.
