2025 Year in Review

Last year's Year in Review here.

Three years later and the blog is still alive. Barely, but still here. This year, I made a total of 7 posts which is down 24 from last year. I knew I did bad, but it didn't settle in how bad. Despite that, I now have 38 subscribers, so a little increase.

The Year in Review

My first post this year was when I went on my Senior Trip to Guatemala. It was so fun and I want to go back so bad! I know that nothing is stopping me except myself, but I am what I am.

After that, the next posts were around the time I graduated. First, Stuck as a Slabaugh came from a school writing assignment. Then after the first one was released, A Bridge Still Standing was AI'd into existence. I still want to write a third one so it's a trilogy, but the mood hasn't struck.

In June, my friend from Guatemala started his blog "Guate News." His posting schedule was more consistent than mine, but he seems to have joined my posting schedule. 😂

I then did My Abbreviated Summer. If I'm lazy all summer I guess then there is more content to write? Not sure on that one.

At the end of October I moved my blog here to Ghost. My blog is now self-hosted which has presented some unique challenges. From your end, nothing much should have changed. Most of the things that changed were things I wanted on the backend. The main one being, in addition to email, you can now follow me on the fediverse at @blog@blog.agilebuckle.com. I plan to do a fediverse explainer post in the future. This switch was kind of the reason I haven't posted in a while. I couldn't get the emails to work and just got them to work the other week. That is why you may have seen the last post a while ago and then just got the email the other week.

I then did Apple is a Fashion Brand which is kind of my first official post on the new blog. I thought the topic was absolutely fascinating (hence the reason I wrote about it). Apple is a fashion brand always in that they are form over function, but other than Hermès they usually aren't full on like that.

I always feel like I repeat myself in these year end posts, and I feel it even more this year due to the lack of posts this year. It's a tradition though so I have to do it.

As always, thank you for being interested in my ponderings. I know my style can change a lot, but I enjoy writing what little I do and having place to post it makes it more fun.

If you want to get in touch to give feedback, submit post ideas, or just generally interact, email me at contact@agilebuckle.com or send me a dm on the fediverse at @blog@blog.agilebuckle.com. I also post shorter musings on my personal Mastodon account @agile@wehavecookies.social and some pictures even more occasionally on my Pixelfed which can be found at @agile@pixelfed.social.

May I be one of the first to say, "Happy New Year!"
